“Nobody, nobody, ever in my life has heard this. Never mum.”
Being a high-profile literary figure in Africa, Binyavanga’s revelation elicited sharp reactions on Twitter; some calling homosexuality un-African, embarrassing and wicked but others were supportive, commending his decision to ‘come out’ as brave. Here’s a sample:

May God Help us all! … Unbelievable
I’ve read several just right stuff here. Certainly
price bookmarking for revisiting. I wonder how a lot effort you set to create this kind of great informative website.
Hey great website! Does running a blog such as this take a great deal of work?
I’ve very little expertise in computer programming however I was hoping to start
my own blog in the near future. Anyhow, if you have any ideas or tips for new blog owners
please share. I know this is off topic but I just had
to ask. Cheers!
